Solar panels installed on your rooftop absorb photons from the sunlight during the daytime and

send them to the inverter, which then converts them to Alternate Current (AC), to power your

residence. Direct Current (DC) is produced when sunlight strikes on a thin layer of silicon on the

solar panels hitting the electrons of silicon atoms.
