Inverter converts DC to AC, the kind of energy required to power a solar
system. Once the current passes through the inverter, AC runs through
the electric panel and meter which can be utilized to power homes or can
be sent back into the electrical grid.
Attaching a battery to a system implies that the excess amount can be
stored for usage during the night instead of sending it back to the grid.
Higher the installed battery’s capacity, higher the amount of stored
solar energy.
